How to Find Articles With 100s of Backlinks
To find the best articles for your outreach efforts, use this two-step process:
Step #1: Make a list of keywords for your article.
Step #2: Search each of those keywords to find popular articles already published on that topic.
Let me show you what I mean…
If you were writing a blog post on logo design, you would skim through the article and make a list of keywords you used.
- logo design
- logos
- design process
- logo cost
- brand design
Then you'd plug each one of these keyword phrases into Google with these three modifiers:
- how to
- beginners
- cost
A search for “[how to] + logo design” produces 4 high-quality results with 510 total links.
Run each combination of keyword phrases and modifiers through Google until you have found 10 articles with at least 20 root domain links to each one.
Use the worksheet below to list your 10 articles.
In the next lesson we’ll examine each article and find its backlinks, and then I’ll show you how to turn a link into contact information and then invite that person to share and link to your content.
