Write 250 Words Per Day (and Publish on Friday)
Now that you have a real email list and a real email service provider, it’s time to add in one of the most critical elements of the entire process.
Relationship.
Without a deep relationship with your list, your list is useless.
Imagine for a minute that you meet a life insurance salesman in Wal-Mart one day. You have a nice chat, he seems like a good dude and you don’t have life insurance but probably need to do something about that. So you give him your email address and tell him to keep in touch.
A few days go by and you don’t hear from him. Then a few months. Then finally a year and a half later you get an email from him telling you to buy insurance from him.
How would you feel?
Would you be all warm and fuzzy and jumping with excitement?
Or would you be annoyed that the guy forgot about you for 18 months and didn’t even try to apologize or make any sort of connection with you?
…
Relationship is everything.
A strong relationship with a tiny email list of 250 people will crush a weak relationship with a list of 10,000 people every day of the week.
I’ve seen folks with 10,000 subscribers on their list launch a product and do less than $6,000 in revenue, while at the same time 10ksubs students with 250 subscribers do over $10,000 in their first product launches.
The difference? Relationship!
The key to building that relationship is regular communication.
In this lesson I’m going to show you an easy way to start building a relationship with each person on your list.
Your goal is to get each and every person to know, like and trust you by helping them solve a problem every week.

How do you build relationships?
You have two new weekly assignments:
Assignment #1: Every day you are going to write 250 words.
Assignment #2: Every Friday you are going to send those words to your list.
Watch the video below for full instructions:
Resource: Email Template
Assignment
Your assignment in this lesson is to start writing 250 words per day and publishing once a week.
Don’t focus on writing epic articles. Don’t worry with keyword research or any fancy strategies at this point.
Just focus on building your writing habit and regularly communicating with your list. (We’ll cover all of the strategy behind improving your content later in this module.)
Before moving to the next lesson, write your first blog post. Mark this coming Friday on your calendar. Your goal is to have the answer the first question on your list written out and ready for your list to read before then.
Note: DON’T publish it or send it to your list yet. We’ll cover that in the next lesson. Don’t move to the next lesson until you have your answer 100% finished. (It’s ok if this takes 5-7 days; just don’t let it drag on any longer.)
