Forum Outreach Formula
In module one you picked your topic and found the places online that cover your selected topic.
In nearly every industry, niches will have popular magazines, websites, and forums.
Forums are places where the most active or passionate people about your topic hangout to discuss, network, and share their love for the topic. This makes forums an incredible place to find ideas for future articles you can create, questions you can answer, and companies to partner with.
It also makes it a great place to grow your email list.
Here’s why: Just like in any email program you can have a default signature.
So, everytime you post or reply to someone, they’ll see the signature that you’ve put and become aware that you’re the person who talks about the subject.
If they’re compelled, they’ll sign up for your list.
Let’s get this setup for you now…
Step 1: Find 5 forums on your topic if you haven’t already from Module 1, Lesson 6.
Step 2: Sign up for an account on each (this should be free)
Step 3: Fill your profile information out and locate the place to customize your signature. Paste your signature call to action there. Feel free to make it pretty.
Step 4: Interact.
Without responding to comments, posting questions, or affirming other forum member’s thoughts your signature will virtually go unnoticed.
Now, the point isn’t just to get your list in front of people – it’s to engage and be so helpful that people want to know more about you and possibly sign up for your list.
