Brainstorm 3 Product Ideas for Your List

Now that you know the topic that you’ll be focusing on, it’s time to dream a little bit.

Let’s fast-forward 90 days. You have 1,000 loyal subscribers. Your blog is rocking along. You’re confident and excited. Now it’s time to create and launch your first product.

What will you create?

Before spending the next 3 months grinding away to get 1,000 subscribers, it’s important to have some concept of what you’ll sell when you get there.

Note: We’ll also refer back to this list as a starting point for coming up with your first product when you reach the 1,000 subs milestone.

So what are you going to sell? Spend 1-2 hours brainstorming a list. Break your list into three categories:

  1. Physical product
  2. Information product
  3. Service you can offer

Let me give you a quick example of what this could look like.

Broad Topic: Health & Fitness

Specific Topic: Extreme weight loss for empty-nest moms

Physical Product:

  1. DVD series
  2. Accountability journal
  3. Exercise equipment (Amazon affiliate)

Information Product:

  1. Online course that gives specific path to weight loss
  2. Weekly health & fitness accountability/check-in community product
  3. Cookie-cutter workout plans

Service I could offer:

  1. In-person training
  2. Group online coaching
  3. Quarterly boot camp

Get the drift? Good! Now get to work. Write down at least 3 potential products you could offer on your topic.

Assignment

Now it’s time to brainstorm 3 potential product ideas you could potentially make when you reach 1,000 subscribers.

Be sure to pick one from each of the three categories (if at all possible). Remember, you’re just dreaming at this stage.

Don’t over-think this step. :)
