Before we jump into setting up your first marketing giveaway, let's take a quick, 20,000-foot view of how all the pieces fit together. Here is the basic overview:
- Pick a product or service that is coveted by your target subscriber.
- Run a contest where you give away that item to one person.
- To enter the contest, your readers have to enter their email addresses.
- They get more entries into the contest for other people who sign up through their unique link.
- You heavily promote the giveaway, with a variety of techniques, to your target subscribers.
- At the end of the giveaway, you randomly pick a winner. (The software I recommend does this for you.)
- Your email list grows.
